What to expect.

How long does a website take?

Most websites are completed within 3-6 weeks, depending on project size and how quickly content is provided.

What is your normal response time?

I usually respond within the same business day to messages received during normal working hours. Messages received after hours will generally be answered the next business day.

Are meetings available?

Yes. I am available for Zoom meetings and in-person meetings in the Denver area by appointment. Send me a message and I will be happy to schedule a time that works for you.

What are your project working hours?

My normal project working hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mountain Time, excluding holidays and planned time away.

Do you offer rush work?

Rush work may be available at $100+ per hour, depending on the scope, deadline, and my availability. I will confirm the rate and estimate with you before beginning the work.

Do you provide weekend support?

I am typically unavailable on weekends. If an urgent website issue is affecting your business, you may send me a message and I will do my best to respond if I am available. Weekend or after-hours assistance is not guaranteed, and any technical work will be quoted separately.

How are deposits and payments structured?

A 50% deposit is generally required to reserve your project and begin work, with the remaining balance due before launch or final handoff. Larger projects may use additional payment milestones, and your proposal will confirm the exact schedule before you commit.

When does work officially begin?

Your project officially begins once the agreement is signed, the initial deposit is paid, and the materials and access needed for the first phase have been received. Your confirmed start date and estimated timeline will be included in the project plan.

What is included in one revision round?

One revision round is one consolidated list of reasonable changes to the work already included in your approved scope. It does not include a new design direction, additional pages, new features, or other work outside the original agreement. I will provide an estimate before beginning any additional work.

What will I need to provide?

You will generally provide final text, approved images, brand assets, account access, business details, required policies, and timely feedback and approvals. Your proposal will include a project-specific checklist so you know exactly what is needed and when.

What happens if content or feedback is late?

Delays in content, access, feedback, or approvals may move the launch date and affect scheduling. I will communicate the revised timeline and resume the work based on current availability once the missing items are received.

How long can a project remain paused?

A project may remain paused for up to 30 days while waiting for client materials, feedback, or approval. After 30 days, the project may need to be closed or rescheduled based on availability. Any revised timeline or restart fee will be discussed and approved before work resumes.

How is additional work approved?

If you request work outside the approved scope, I will explain the added cost and any timeline impact in writing. Additional work will begin only after you approve the estimate.

When is a project considered complete?

A project is considered complete when the deliverables in the agreement have been provided, the included revision round has been addressed, and the final review is approved. Final payment is due before the website is launched or transferred unless a different schedule is stated in your proposal.

Is there a post-launch correction period?

Yes. Website projects include a 14-day post-launch correction period for errors or technical issues in the work included in the original scope. New content, new features, third-party service problems, and changes made by others are not included, but I can provide an estimate if additional help is needed.

Who pays for domains, hosting, plugins, and subscriptions?

Clients are responsible for domain registration, hosting, website platforms, premium plugins, software licenses, and other third-party subscriptions unless the proposal specifically states otherwise. Whenever practical, these accounts will be created in your name so you retain direct ownership and control.

When do I own my website?

Ownership of the custom website deliverables transfers to you after the final invoice has been paid, subject to the terms of the project agreement and any third-party licenses. You will also receive the access and materials included in your agreed handoff.

Are any materials excluded from the ownership transfer?

Third-party platforms, open-source software, stock media, fonts, premium themes or plugins, licensed assets, and reusable tools or code are governed by their existing licenses and cannot be transferred as exclusive client-owned property. Your agreement will identify any important third-party items used in your project.

May the finished website appear in your portfolio?

Only with your permission. I may ask to feature the completed project in my portfolio or professional materials, but I will respect any confidentiality needs and will not publicly present the finished work as a client project without approval.

Can I update my website myself?

Absolutely. Your website can be built on a platform that allows simple edits, and training is available if you would like additional guidance.

Is the Website Content Care Plan required?

No. The care plan is optional but recommended. Clients without a care plan can request updates at the standard hourly rate.

What if I need more than five updates in a month?

Additional work is billed at $75+ per hour, with approval provided before any billable work begins.

Ready for a website that works as hard as you do?

Whether you are launching a new business, refreshing an existing website, or looking for reliable ongoing support, I'll help you create a professional website that reflects your brand and supports your growth.
